HOT SPRINGS - Clay Reeves has built a reputation on tenacious defense, and it was on full display at Bank OZK Arena Thursday night.

Greenwood did not allow more than nine points in each of the first three quarters and won its second consecutive 5A state championship defeating Vilonia 58-35. The victory secured the 10th all-time title for Reeves and seventh in his tenure with the Lady Bulldogs.

“I know this was our team goal and what all of our team expected,” Reeves said. “Basketball is a long season, but they show up whether it is at six o’clock in the morning or we practice at night, they always work hard and never complain. I could not be any more proud of every player on our team.”
