Connor Noland spent the spring as the ace of the staff for Arkansas and now he'll start the path to becoming an ace in the big leagues. Noland became the third player from the Natural State taken in the MLB draft as the Chicago Cubs selected the right hander from Greenwood in the ninth round. Greenbrier native Cayden Wallace and Benton product Peyton Pallette were each drafted in the second round on Sunday. Noland lived up to his Friday night role all season long for the Razorbacks as he picked up eight wins with a 3.65 ERA while striking out 113 and issued just 34 walks. For his career, Noland won 14 games and struck out 202 batters.
